The Holy Bible states in Proverbs 11:30, "The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life, and he that winneth souls is wise." Daniel 12:3, "And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament, and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever."
I once heard a story centered on an elderly lady who had a deep desire to become a soul winner. She approached her pastor and was allowed to attend free classes at her church to become a soul winner for Christ.
The time finally came for the church to send her to visit a young couple near their church. The young couple immediately loved the elderly lady and prepared some snacks for their meeting; however, when it came time to share the gospel, the lady forgot the scriptures she had learned in her bible class.
The lady fell to her knees, crying out to God, asking Him to help her remember the scriptures she had learned in her Bible class. God came to her rescue, for the Holy Spirit touched the heart of the young couple and prompted them to slide in beside her, asking God to help her remember what she had been taught in Bible school.
The presence of the Lord became so powerful in the room that both of them gave their heart and lives to Christ. The Lord saved both of them, and after that experience with the Spirit of God, the Lord used the elderly lady to birth countless others into the kingdom of God.
The book of Romans is where we find the scriptures that have led many to salvation, often referred to as "The Roman Road." The Apostle Paul wrote the book, which is a significant part of our faith.
It was written from a Roman jail and entrusted to a lady named Phoebe to be shared with the Roman church. This canon of scriptures is not just a book but a roadmap to leading someone to Christ.
In chapter one and verse sixteen, the Apostle Paul summarizes the book, stating, 'For I am not ashamed of the gospel because it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.' It's a powerful message we can all learn from and share with others.
