Withered Hand Ministries, Inc. was established in 2004, emerging from Guardian Angel Ministries, which was founded in 1995. Guardian Angel Ministries was named after the long-haul trucker Jerry Hulse. The ministry was named after Jerry's CB call sign handle, "Guardian Angel."
In 2004, Guardian Angel Ministries was renamed Withered Hand Ministries and chartered and incorporated in Tennessee as a fully operative 501 (c) (3) non-profit ministry.
Withered Hand Ministries founder, Dr. Scottie Sexton, listened to Jerry's vision and had a legal meeting to establish WHM in 2004. After completing the process of establishing the ministry, he asked those present to vote Jerry W. Hulse in as the President of the newly formed Withered Hand Ministries.
Dr. Scottie invited ministers he trusted to help conduct an ordination service for new ministers, and Jerry was one of the ministers being ordained. The ministers present at Jerry's ordination were Pastor Hubert Meadows from Rural Retreat, Virginia, Joe Trent, and Pastors Lee and Donna Stiltner from Church Hill, Tennessee.
Dr. Scottie and the ministers present were excited about establishing an end-time restoration ministry that is centered on helping those who have been hurt by churches, specifically those who have suffered from strict denominational regulations and unforgiving pastors.
Jerry has since been blessed to publish more than 18 books, which have been distributed globally for many years. These books were purchased at cost and shipped free of charge to ministries worldwide.
Two of Dr. Jerry's books, "The Essence of Life" and "Eighteen Wheels and Jesus," have touched and enriched the lives of many, especially those who suffer from low self-esteem due to past experiences in churches. These two books, along with many others, can be downloaded from a special tab on the Withered Hand Ministries website.
